The rules of buying from Ora, in plain language. Nothing here is hidden in a longer sentence.

1. Who you are dealing with

Ora, a dealer in pre-owned watches based in Cairo, Egypt. We are not a manufacturer, and we are not an authorised agent or distributor of any brand named on this site. Brand names appear only to describe the watch being sold.

2. What is on sale

Every watch listed is a single piece. Stock is one unit. When a piece is sold it stays visible on the site, marked as sold, as a record of what has passed through our hands. Prices are in Egyptian pounds and include any tax due.

3. Reserving a piece

Paying a deposit reserves one specific watch for seven days from the moment we confirm the reservation. The deposit equals the delivery fee. It is not an extra charge — if you buy the watch it comes off the balance. A reservation is not a completed sale, and no ownership passes until the balance is paid in full.

4. Paying the balance

The balance is paid at handover, after you have inspected the watch, by bank transfer or in person. Ownership passes when the balance clears. Until then the watch remains ours.

5. If you decide against the piece

You owe nothing beyond the deposit. The deposit is kept, because it has already paid for bringing the watch to you. If the watch does not match its listing in any way that matters, the deposit is returned in full. Full detail is in our returns and refunds page.

6. Authenticity

Every watch we sell is genuine. Our authentication guarantee sets out what we stand behind and what happens if we are ever wrong. It has no time limit.

7. Accuracy of listings

We describe each watch from the piece in hand and we do not fill gaps with guesses. If we find an error in a listing we correct it, and if you have already reserved that piece we tell you and you may cancel with your deposit returned in full.

8. Pricing errors

If a price is obviously wrong — a missing digit, a decimal in the wrong place — we are not obliged to sell at that price. We will tell you the correct price and return your deposit in full if you do not want to continue.

9. Cancelling from our side

We may cancel a reservation and return the deposit in full if the piece turns out to be misdescribed, if it is damaged before handover, or if we cannot confirm your identity for a payment. We do not cancel because someone has offered us more.

10. Your responsibilities

Give us accurate contact and delivery details. Be present, or arrange someone to be present, for a courier delivery. Inspect the watch before you sign or pay.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction over any dispute.
